在近代中国，湘赣皖是米粮输出主要省份，鄂苏浙闽粤是米粮输入主要省份，口岸之间的埠际网络成为粮食贸易的主要路径。因为产量、政策、交通等因素的不同影响，在米粮输出省份之中，芜湖口岸，长期为中国最大轮运出口市场。同时“一战”之后，随着洋米侵占中国沿海口岸市场，对芜湖口岸的逆向冲击效应，也较湘赣两省口岸为大。这种情况说明，近代中国逐渐成为世界米粮市场的重要部分，同时国内依然存在着紧密程度不同的区域粮食市场圈。因而，不同口岸市场的粮食贸易存在着明显的差异性波动。

In modern Chinese， Hunan， Jiangxi and Anhui province were the main rice outputs， Hubei， Jiangsu， Zhejiang， Fujian and Guangdong province were the main rice inputs，the network between the ports became the main path of the rice trade. Because of different policy， production， traffic and other factors， in the rice exporting provinces， the port of Wuhu， for a long time， had been China maximum wheel export market，moreover， after “the first war"， with foreign rice occupying Chinese coastal ports， the adverse impact effect on the port of Wuhu， was more serious than on the ports in another two Provinces. This showed that modern China had gradually become an important part of the world rice market，while the domestic rice market still exist regional circle of different level. Therefore， the rice trade in different port market exist fluctuation difference obviously.
