明清太湖地区以稻作为中心的稻麦复种制度趋于完善,尤其是晚稻小麦复种增多,麦子种植面积扩大。麦作扩展的原因主要在于农民种春花不纳租税和稻田水旱轮作技术的进步。在稻麦复种、水旱轮作制度下,当地的麦类作物生产技术形成鲜明的地域特色,麦子播种和水稻插秧的时令把握、田地整治与排水、田间管理等都与旱地种麦有所不同。太湖地区的麦作发展对于增加粮食生产、改善稻作农业生态,以及维持农民生计都具有重要作用。
Abstract:
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the rice-wheat multiple cropping system centered on rice in Taihu Lake area tended to be improved, especially the late rice-wheat multiple cropping increased and the wheat planting area expanded. The main reasons for the expansion of wheat cultivation are that farmers do not pay taxes for planting spring flower crops and the progress of paddy field drainage technology. Under the system of rice wheat multiple cropping and water drought rotation, the local wheat crop production technology has formed obvious regional characteristics. The field regulation and drainage, the seasonal control of wheat sowing and rice transplanting, and field management are different from those of wheat planting in dry land. Wheat development plays an important role in increasing local food production, improving rice agricultural ecology and maintaining farmers’ livelihood.
