莜麦不是中国传统农业的核心作物,但其耐寒、耐旱特性和较短的生长周期,使其在农业生产条件较差的察绥地区具有生态适应性优势。通过考察1949年以前莜麦在察绥地区的种植与利用可知,中国古代对莜麦的认识较早,但察绥地区的大范围莜麦种植是从清代开始的,随着大量移民涌入察绥地区,也带来了莜麦的种植技术和饮食习惯。至民国时期,莜麦已成为察绥地区广泛种植的重要作物,其种植分布也在人地互动中呈现出一定的空间特征,并在察绥地区成为重要的口粮与饲料,与其他作物一起支撑着新增人口的发展,形成了独具特色的莜麦饮食文化;同时莜麦也作为重要商品流通于周边的莜麦消费区,还在特定时期纳入军需体系。莜麦在支撑察绥地区人口增长中地位突出,当地人选择莜麦,既有环境因素,也有文化因素,但总的来讲是实用价值优先。
Abstract:
Naked oats are not the core crop of traditional agriculture in China, but their cold and drought resistance, as well as short growth cycle, give them ecological adaptability advantages in the less favorable agricultural production conditions of the Cha Sui region. By examining the cultivation and utilization of naked oats in the Cha Sui region before 1949, it can be concluded that ancient China had an early understanding of naked oats. However, the large-scale cultivation of naked oats in the Cha Sui region began in the Qing Dynasty, and with the influx of a large number of immigrants, it also brought about the cultivation techniques and dietary habits of naked oats. By the time of the Republic of China, naked oats had become an important crop widely planted in the Cha Sui region, and their planting distribution showed certain spatial characteristics in human land interaction. They became an important food and feed in the Cha Sui region, supporting the development of the new population along with other crops, and forming a unique naked oat food culture; At the same time, naked oats were also an important commodity circulating in the surrounding consumption areas of naked oats, and were also included in the military supply system during specific periods. Naked oats play a prominent role in supporting population growth in the Cha Sui region. Local people choose naked oats due to both environmental and cultural factors, but overall, practical value is prioritized.
