“素馨花”最初源于海外，移植中国后，因其适应性较强，外表秀美，气味芬芳，用途广泛，为人们所喜爱。素馨花最初在岭南一带种植，宋代开始，逐渐传入福建、云南、浙江等地；明代，其种植范围进一步拓展，贵州、四川、山东、江西、陕西等省份亦有了素馨花种植的记录；到了清代，素馨花的空间分布遍及东南沿海各省，其种植范围向北延伸至直隶等地。而素馨花市场需求的增加、种植技术的提高等因素促进了明清时期素馨花种植范围的大规模扩展。

Jasmine originally from overseas, after transplant in China, because of its strong adaptability, beautiful appearance , smell fragrant, wide range of uses, is loved by people. Jasmine first planted in lingnan area, in the song dynasty, gradually to Fujian, Yunnan, Zhejiang and other places; In the Ming dynasty, to further expand its planting range, guizhou, sichuan, shandong, jiangxi and other provinces also have the record of the Jasmine plant. in qing dynasty, the spatial distribution of Jasmine readched all ouer the southeast coastal provinces, even the planting area extended to north Zhili, etc. And Jasmine market demand increased, planting technology improving imprwed, these factors promoted the extension of frangipani planting area during ming and Qing dynasties.
