月令是古人在日常生活中对自然规律的认识与总结，作为古代社会早期的“王官之时”，具有很强的时间规范与社会指导作用。《补农书》是反映明末清初杭嘉湖地区农业生产活动的一部地方性农书，其创作动因与明清易代的社会大背景紧密相关，反映了作为江南士人与明遗民的张履祥对明清鼎革的反思。书中的“逐月事宜”月令表述，隐含了张履祥希望通过规范农事时间秩序而重建良好社会秩序的愿望。而这背后，归根到底又与传统中国“以农为本”的农耕文明特色直接相关。
Abstract:
Month order is our forefathers understanding and summary of the natural law in their daily life. As the Emperor’s time order in the early ancient society, it plays a strong role in time regulation and social guidance. Supplement to The Book on Agriculture is a book about the agricultural production activities in Hangjiahu area from the end of Ming Dynasty to the beginning of Qing Dynasty. Its creation motivation is closely related to the social background of the period between Ming and Qing Dynasties. It reflects Zhang Lvxiang’s thinking and profound consideration on the revolution between Ming and Qing Dynasties as a scholar and a firm adherent to the Ming Dynasty. The statement of monthly affairs implied ZhangLvxiang’s desire to rebuild a good social order by regulating the time order of farming. In general, it is directly related to idea of based on agriculture, which is a characteristic of traditional Chinese farming civilization.
